Welcome to the Bangor Buccaneers

Bangor Buccaneers Softball Club entered the Ulster League in 2014. They were recipients of the SU Wooden Spoon in their rookie season, and followed up with respectable 5th and 4th placed finishes since then, winning their first piece of silverware in the form of the CT Shield in 2016.

The Bucs struggled with squad retention for a period, but since 2019 have begun to build upon a strong core, and this was celebrated by winning the Wooden Spoon playoff at the 2021 CT Cup.

Buccing the trend of the Belfast clubs, the Buccaneers are making North Down a hub of softball activity, being a fun, sociable bunch of ballers, they are always looking to expand the Bucc’n family, so come on down and join them for training on Thursday evenings at Ward Park.
